Registry · Issuance · Tokenised ledger
Every Carbon Credit Is Unique. Every Step Is Traceable.
The Climate Index Carbon Registry is a transparent digital infrastructure for the registration, issuance, transfer and retirement of carbon credits. It connects approved climate projects with clearly identified, serialised carbon units and provides a traceable record of every movement throughout the credit lifecycle.
From project registration and review to issuance and permanent retirement, each step is recorded in an auditable ledger designed to strengthen integrity, reduce the risk of double counting and make carbon-market activity easier to verify. Project developers, companies and other market participants can manage their credits through secure registry accounts, while key project, issuance and retirement information remains accessible through the public registry.

Serialised unit blocks
Each issuance receives a contiguous serial-number range from the registry counter. No unit exists twice and no range overlaps another.
Hash-chained events
Every ledger event stores the hash of its predecessor. Recomputing the chain reveals any change to historical records.
Retirement certificates
Retirement permanently removes units from circulation and issues a public certificate naming the beneficiary.
